Chief Financial Officer

Title: Chief Financial Officer

Status: Full-time | Department: Admin

 

Essential Responsibilities:

Serve on leadership team and together with other members of senior staff, advise the Executive Director on key issues

Develop, direct and evaluate the Institute’s overall financial strategy in support of its mission

Develop and direct a transparent annual planning and budgeting process

Manage contracts as they relate to maintenance, operations, client project and consultant contracts

Negotiate and execute all major financial transactions on behalf of the Institute

Oversee audit process including working with the audit committee of the Board and with external auditors

Establish controls to safeguard the Institute’s assets and conduct or direct annual internal audits in designated areas

Participate in the development of the Institute’s strategic plans and programs

Develop and manage strategy for communicating key elements of the Institute’s business and financial plan and performance to the board, donors, partners and employees

Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and trends

Assist departments in developing, tracking and analyzing financial metrics

Enhance policies and procedures of the Institute that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness

Nurture professional relationships with banks, accounting firms, legal advisors and investment managers

Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism

Lead annual evaluation of Institute insurance policies (liability, property, auto, D/O) to ensure appropriate coverage types and limits. Develop and issue RFPs as needed.

Ensure effective management of investment policies acting as liaison between board investment committee and investment management firm

Advise about payroll best practices

Oversee accounting, human resources and director of operations to ensure effective and efficient management of the Institute’s financial, business, and people operations

 

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline

10+ years’ related work experience

5+ years’ of supervisory leadership experience

Preferred Requirements:

All of the above, plus:

Master’s degree and/or professional certification (CPA, CFA, CMA, etc.) in related discipline

3+ years’ non-profit or private foundation finance/accounting work experience

Conference Food Service Asst Manager

Title: Conference Food Service Asst Manager

Status: Full-time | Department: Operations

 

Essential Responsibilities:

Assist with oversight of wait staff to ensure outstanding service in both food and beverage service

Review BEO’s to insure proper service times, number of servers and set-up for events and meetings

Manage daily schedules and activities of all wait staff and bartenders

Assist kitchen with coordination of food and bar setups

Assist with the development and maintenance of wine list

Assist with bar inventory and other items not ordered by the Kitchen Manager

Assist with setup for satellite food and bar events

Manage the bar and restaurant during hours of operation in absence of Director of Food and Beverage

Maintain and update POS system

Coordinate with Kitchen Manager to ensure consistent service between back of house and front of house

Oversee opening and closing duties of wait staff

Assist with training for wait staff and bartenders as needed

Assist with supervision of meeting rooms setup

Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints

Assist with review of food safety and handling requirements of the local health department to ensure compliance

 

Minimum Requirements:

1-3 years restaurant/food service experience

High school diploma or GED

Server

Department: Food Services

Status: Part-time, partially benefited

Hours per week: 20-25, as needed

Duties: Our part-time servers are responsible for set-up of meals and snacks for conference and program groups. They serve and assist guests during plated and buffet meals and assistance with food service clean up and maintenance tasks on a regular basis.

Minimum Requirements: Availability to work days, evenings and weekends, excellent people skills, positive attitude, ability to take direction and work well with others, reliable transportation, standing for long periods of time, lifting and balancing.

Server/Bartender

Title: Server/Bartender

Status: Part-time, partially benefitted

Hours per week: 15-25, as needed

Duties: Responsible for set-up of meals and snacks for conference and program groups, serving and assisting guests during plated and buffet meals and provide assistance with food service clean up and maintenance tasks. This particular position will also assist with bartending, as needed.

Minimum Requirements: 

High school diploma/GED                                    

At least 21 years of age                          

1 year of related (bartending experience)

Must be able to take direction

Must be able to professionally interact with guests

Applicants must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends

Must possess a positive, team-minded attitude and uphold a high standard of quality.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift approximately 50 lbs

Reliable transportation to and from Petit Jean Mountain

Front Desk Guest Associate

Title:  Front Desk Guest Associate

Status: Part-time | Department: Operations

 

Essential Responsibilities:

Guest registration (room assignment, payment, special needs, etc.)

Guest services (keys, messages, inquiries, etc.)

Knowledge and use of Maestro database (payments, room charges, restaurant sales reports, reconciles shift transactions)

Administrative duties as required (printing, faxing, copying, etc.)

Basic accounting tasks (verify cash bank at start of shift)

 

Minimum Requirements:

1 year of work experience
