A History of Convening for Change
Thank you for your interest in holding your convening on our historic cattle farm. When Winthrop Rockefeller moved to the top of Petit Jean Mountain in 1954 he brought with him what we call the “Rockefeller Ethic” – our process represents the belief that if we:
- invite people with different backgrounds, opinions, and experiences
- to listen and talk to each other with respect and build mutual understanding,
- we can solve problems and create new opportunities together
All resulting in transformational change for Arkansas, our region, and the world.
To celebrate that history of convening and continue Gov. Rockefeller’s legacy of change on the grounds of his mountaintop home, we support groups doing the type of problem solving and imaginative thinking that he did.
