We develop programs that create sustainable, positive change to improve the quality of life for all Arkansans. Our Institute programs are designed to help communities, organizations, and leaders work collaboratively to address complex issues. Click here to view our current programs.
Our trained programs team can guide groups through structured meetings and facilitated discussions. Using the collective wisdom of the people in the room, we lead participants through exercises and dialogues that support shared understanding, problem solving, and goal achievement.
How Institute Programs Work
Each program is built around a clear purpose. Depending on the topic, the goal may be to:
- Develop recommendations for a government agency
- Strengthen collaboration between organizations with shared missions
- Address a pressing community issue
- Work toward another community‑driven outcome
No matter the topic, our approach centers on our guiding process: the Rockefeller Ethic.
The Rockefeller Ethic
The Rockefeller Ethic provides a structured process for fully examining an issue while creating a neutral, respectful space where every voice can be heard.
When designing any program, we begin by asking: “What do we want to be different when the program is over?”
From there, we build a plan to help participants move toward that vision, and we use the Rockefeller Ethic to examine the issue thoroughly and create a neutral space where all voices can be heard. Our Rural Health Summit series is a great example.
