The Institute serves our mission through a combination of place, people, and process. We do this by inviting groups of people to have their important meetings on our campus, in addition to planning our own programs and delivering workshops. Our clients come from many sectors including business, education, government and nonprofit.

If you have a need to bring people together, we want you to do your important, collaborative work here.

The Plan a Meeting section of our website has much more detail about our meeting and lodging rooms, dining options, and the amenities that encourage your group to relax and recharge together.

We’ve been hosting groups safely at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute throughout the COVID-19 pandemic – learn more about how we’re bringing people together during COVID.

If your group would enjoy team building activities we have options unique to the Institute and our mountaintop location.

Cooking in the culinary classroom

Your group will takeover our professional, educational kitchen in the Rock Chop or Pizza Challenge.

You can cut out the competition aspect and enjoy wine and dessert-tasting with “Sips and Sweet.”

Keep it casual with bocce or horseshoes, or take it up a notch with volleyball and tennis.

We can have kayaks and canoes ready to paddle on Lake Abby. Winthrop used to waterski around that lake, but we suggest staying in your boat!

Fresh Air

Walk to the Studio overlook and gaze down at the Arkansas River below.

Request a fire in one of our many outdoor fire pits and have s’mores…even if our kitchen staff already wowed you with dessert.

Is connection and teamwork the priority, not an agenda?

We have just the thing! The Winthrop Rockefeller Retreat is perfect for a group of up to 10. All retreat attendees are in a private building with a communal kitchen, living room, and patio and no other guests. Make yourselves at home and take advantage of the fun activities on our beautiful mountaintop campus!
