The Institute is amped to announce that our electric vehicle chargers are back online! Two stations, each with two charging cables, are located behind our Main Building next to the main pathway leading to the Meadows lodging facility. Four marked parking spots, including one accessible parking spot, are in front of the two stations.

As of February 2025, charging costs are based upon the Institute’s electric rates, which are subject to change. From there, Buzze, our service provider, charges the driver an extra $ 0.15/kWh. A $0.99 credit card transaction fee goes straight to Stripe. All costs and fees will be listed in the Buzze app. After the battery is fully charged, the station will automatically shut off.

Just as the Institute is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, the charging stations are available for the public to use during those hours. Registered guests will have access to the stations throughout their stay at the Institute.

“I appreciate all of the efforts our Maintenance team put into marking this a first-class installation,” Shane Engebrecht, safety coordinator, said. “It just adds to the high standards of customer service that we are already known for. And for the public, this helps make the Institute a destination stop that they might not normally make while visiting Petit Jean Mountain.”

While waiting for your vehicle to charge, please feel free to come inside or tour our campus! The Roustabout, the Institute’s coffee shop, provides full coffee and beverage service, fresh food stocked daily by our Institute Kitchen staff, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, and ample seating. Our 3,000-square-foot Legacy Gallery and 26-seat Legacy Theater are also open during public hours.
