Winter is here, and Petit Jean State Park in Morrilton, Arkansas, is calling you to explore its frosty beauty and unique events. From a romantic weekend to exploring wildlife, there’s something for everyone. Here’s what’s on the calendar: 

Hikes, Hearts, Hugs, and Trees Weekend 

Dates: Friday, February 14 – Sunday, February 16, 2025 

Description: Share a romantic weekend at the historic Mather Lodge. Guided hikes and tree-planting activities offer couples a unique way to connect with nature. 

 Activities Include: 

  • Guided Trail Hikes: Wander through the park’s scenic winter trails 
  • Tree Planting: Plant a tree to symbolize your visit.

Mammals of Petit Jean

Dates: Various dates in January and February 2025

Description: Curious about what black bear fur feels like? Join a park interpreter to learn some fascinating facts about the mammals of Petit Jean State Park. You’ll have the chance to guess which animal each fur belongs to and then feel the fur for yourself! These events are perfect for animal enthusiasts of all ages.

Cedar Falls Overlook Stroll

Dates: Various dates in January and February 2025 
Description: Take an easy, guided ¼-mile stroll to enjoy breathtaking views from the Cedar Falls Overlook. This stroll is handicap-accessible
